About Me

Husband, father and Digital Marketing evangelist at Adobe

I began the sport of triathlon in 2007 after a good colleague of mine planted the vision of swimming from Alcatraz.  I completed Escape from the Rock the following year in 2008.  This journey began with a struggle to swim 25 meters across a pool, the inability to run 2 miles without stopping more than once and an average at best bike effort.

Since then, I've been lucky enough to finish dozens of triathlons including The London Triathlon, Blenheim Triathlon, Escape from the Rock, Ironman Poconos (70.3) and several others.

In 2011 I injured my knee.  Following 1.5 years of physical therapy I finally opted for a lateral release of my left knee in 2013.  Throughout this time I was unable to run more than 10-15 minutes.  Following my surgery, I decided to go big.  Determined to prove to myself that my body is still capable, I signed up for Ironman Boulder (140.6) and several other events you can view under my Race Calendar.

It's not all about me, however.  While Triathlon is very much an individual sport, I wanted to combine my efforts with some good in the communities around me.  For that reason, I've decided to raise $4,000 for Ironman Foundation's Community Fund.  This fund provides charitable support to a variety of local non-profit organizations that recognize citizens in need and support The IRONMAN Foundation's mission. The Foundation provides grant funding opportunities as a way of leaving a little of IRONMAN's legacy behind after race day. IMF works with community leaders to identify capital improvement projects and provide funding to support various initiatives.
